How does DhikrLock work?

You pick the apps that steal your time (Instagram, TikTok, whatever distracts you most). DhikrLock shields those apps. When you try to open one, a shield appears and asks you to complete a short dhikr first. Once you finish, the app unlocks for a short window before the shield returns.

You can also use the Tasbih tab at any time for free-form dhikr, even when nothing is shielded.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID, not inside DhikrLock.

On your iPhone, go to Settings → your name at the top → Subscriptions → DhikrLock → Cancel Subscription. The cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then.

If you cancel during the free trial, you won't be charged anything.

I'm not receiving notifications. What should I do?

DhikrLock relies on notifications to show the "Begin Dhikr" prompt when you open a shielded app. If notifications are off, the shield won't work properly.

Open Settings → Notifications → DhikrLock and make sure "Allow Notifications" is turned on. Banners, sounds, and badges should also be enabled for the best experience.

The shield isn't blocking my apps. Why?

DhikrLock uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework. For it to work, you need to grant Screen Time permission when asked during onboarding, and the app must be kept alive in the background (don't force-close it by swiping up).

If something feels off, go to Settings → Screen Time → DhikrLock and confirm access is granted. You can also re-select which apps to shield from inside DhikrLock's settings screen.

How do I restore my subscription on a new device?

Sign in to the new device with the same Apple ID you used to purchase, install DhikrLock, and tap Restore on the paywall screen. Your subscription will be restored automatically. There's no separate account to create.

Why is my streak or stats missing on a new device?

DhikrLock stores all your data (streak, dhikr counts, history) locally on your device for privacy. We don't sync to a cloud account. That means if you switch phones or delete and reinstall the app, your streak starts over.

Your subscription, however, restores across devices when you tap Restore.

How do I change which apps are shielded?

Open DhikrLock, tap the settings icon on the home screen, and choose "Select apps". Apple's Screen Time picker will open and you can add or remove apps at any time. Changes apply immediately.

Is my data private?

We collect the minimum we need to run the app: your email and name for your account, your streak data so it survives reinstalls, and anonymous usage analytics to help us improve. We never see which apps you've chosen to shield (Apple's Screen Time framework doesn't expose that to us), we don't sell data, and we don't run ads. You can delete your account and all its data anytime from Settings. Full details in our privacy policy.
